Replacing the toothed belt of the 2nd gear reduction, Fig. 48
- Unscrew the screws (75) until both belts are slack. The screws (77), Fig. 45, of the motor bearing plate must also
be loosened.
- Remove the screws (84), dismantle the brake body (85) and the brake lining (82).
- Detatch the Seeger circlip ring from the intermediate shaft (76) and remove the brake hub.
- Remove the screws (88) and detach the brake flange plate (87) from the supports.
- Replace the toothed belt.
- Remount the elements in the reversed order of the dismounting. Tighten both toothed belts according to chapter
4.2.2.
- Check the function of the brake and of the brake release mechanism (chapter 4.2.3).

Replacing the toothed belt of the 1st gear reduction
- This job requires the dismounting of the drive unit (21) from the ceiling resp. the wall, in order to be able to remove
the output shaft. The strength of the toothed belt of the first gear reduction has been sufficiently designed so that
a replacement will only be necessary in exceptional cases.
- Remove the anti-skip protection / hand guard (73). Fig. 49
- Release the toothed driving belt (15) resp. the chain and detach it from the drive unit (21). The electrical
connections must also be disconnected resp. unplugged.
- Unscrew and remove the drive unit (21).
- Remove the toothed belt pulley (19) resp. the chain pinion (26) and the spacer block (20) or (27) from the shaft.
