Adjusting the belt tension
If the measured belt tensions are not correct, they must be readjusted. Make sure that the tension of the second gear
reduction is adjusted before the one of the first gear reduction.
Adjusting the tension of the 2nd gear reduction (intermediate shaft - output shaft
Attention:
Before adjusting the tension of the 2nd gear reduction, the belt tension of the first gear
reduction must be completely released.
- Slightly unscrew all three screws (75).
- Tighten the belt by applying a pressure F from
the right side onto the flange plate of the
brake (76).
- Tighten the screws (75).
- Measure the belt tension.
- Repeat this process until the belt tension has
been correctly adjusted.
- Tighten the screws (75) with 19 Nm as soon as
the belt tension has been correctly adjusted.

- Slightly unscrew all three screws (77).
- Tighten the belt by applying a pressure F from the
left side onto the motor flange plate (78).
- Tighten the screws (77).
- Measure the belt tension.
- Repeat this process until the belt tension has
been correctly adjusted.
- After the belt tension has been correctly adjusted,
tighten the screws (77) with 19 Nm. Fig. 45

Spring pressure brake, brake release

Check the thickness of the brake lining and the play of the brake release mechanism while the brake is blocked.
- The brake lining must be replaced if the gap between the brake disks is less than 5 mm.
