3.3 INSTALLING THE WHEEL
1. Clean and lightly grease the thru axle and the
thru axle thread.
2. Clean the contact surfaces between the hub
and the fork and check for sharp edges.
→ If sharp edges are present, the hub must
not be used.
3. Position the wheel between the fork dropouts.
4. Push the thru axle through the dropout and the
hub and tighten the thru axle with a torque of
min. 15 Nm and max. 20 Nm.
3.4 ASSEMBLING THE BRAKE
The fork has a post mount (PM) 6" brake caliper mount. If the brake caliper is mounted on the fork
without an adapter, a Ø160 mm brake rotor can be used. A brake rotor up to Ø203 mm can be used
with a suitable adapter. Do not use brake rotors bigger than 203 mm!
1. Ensure the thread length of the brake caliper or
brake adapter fixing screws is min. 8 mm and
max. 15 mm (see adjacent figure).
2. Fit and adjust the brake according to the
manufacturer's specifications.
3. When using IS brake rotors with a Center
Lock hub, we recommend using the DT Swiss
Center Lock adapter with the article number
HWZXXX00S1232S.
When using alternative Center Lock adapters,
the clearance between adapter and fork must be
checked before use.
4. Check that all components are moving freely.
