GB
according to EN 795-C: 2012 standards for 1 operator
and TS 16415: 2013 for 2, 3, 4 and 5 operators.
"IMPORTANT": The operator's safety is linked to
maintaining the efficacy and durability of the equipment.
However, the lifeline as well as the anchor points must
to be supplemented by personal protective equipment
against falls from a height, consisting, for each
operator, of at least a full fall arrest harness, connection
and linking devices, if necessary, a shock absorber,
manufactured in accordance with European Directive
89/686, and used in accordance with EN/656 Directive
and the additional requirements of each country using
it. All items of PPE must be CE certified.
"CAUTION": The travspring, travspring One and
travsmart lifelines are a component of a horizontal fall
arrest system which must comply with standard EN
363. They can be used in combination with: 1. EN 361
compliant fall arrest harnesses. 2. Steel connectors
used as a mobile anchor point according to the type of
lifeline in accordance with standard EN 362. 3 LD LDF
LS LSD LSE lanyards conforming to standard EN354
4. Fall arresters specially tested to be used on these
lifelines: - blocfor ™ fall arrester: B1.8A ESD - B1.8B
ESD - B5 ESD - B6 ESD - B10 ESD B20 ESD compliant
with standard EN360 - Stopfor™ K fall arrester; stopfor
™ B compliant with standard EN353-2 - Fall arrester
shock absorber lanyard LDA - LDAD - LSA - LSAD

combination is prohibited.

13. Maintenance and storage

The travspring™, travspring™ One and travsmart
lifelines, which are the subject of this manual must be
stored and transported in their original packaging.
During storage and/or transport, these lifelines must be:
• Kept dry,
• Stored at a temperature of between -35°C and +80°C,
• Protected against chemical, mechanical or any other
aggression.
If an anchor is dirty, it should be washed in cold water
with a detergent for delicate textiles if necessary, and
using a synthetic brush.
66
When disposing of the product, it is mandatory to
recycle the various components after sorting metallic
materials and sorting synthetic materials. These
materials should be recycled to specialised centres.
During disposal, dismantling to separate components
should be achieved by a duly trained person.
"Important": In a fall arrest system, it is essential for
safety reasons, to check the free space required under
the operator in the workplace before each possible use,
so that in the event of a fall, there will be no collision
with the ground, or with any obstacle in the path of the
fall
15.1. From the lifeline
"Important": in all cases of use, it is imperative to
accumulate the potential falling space of the lifeline
(page 17, figure 31, item F) a calculation based on its
total length, the span between the anchors and the
maximum number of authorised operators specified on
the information panels (F), and the potential falling
space recommended by the manufacturer of fall
arrester used.
The total potential falling space T(m) required for safely
using travspring™, travspring™ One and travsmart
lifelines is calculated using the following formula (
Figure 31, page 17):
Any other
T = F + F1
With:
F: The potental falling space for the lifeline is shown on
the information panels placed at each lifeline access
point.
F1: Potential falling space of the fall arrester.
