Entry to the lifeline access zones must be defined and
restricted to areas where there is no risk of a fall from
a height and be marked with an information panel as

connector or a slider as appropriate to the lifeline.

"Important": It is vital that the travspring™,

when connecting the operator to the line with either a
travsmart slider (O1) or connector wire (O2) depending
on the type of lifeline.

8. Terms of service

8.1. General information
Users of travspring™, travspring™ One or travsmart
lifelines should, before operation, obtain from the
installer a copy of the mandatory preliminary study
record. They must be aware of this manual.
They must ensure that personal protection equipment
against falls from heights (PPE) used with the lifeline
comply with current regulations and Standards, are
compatible with the installation and in good operational
condition.
Any operator called upon to use a travspring™,
travspring™ One or travsmart lifeline must be physically
fit for work at height and have received training prior to its
use in accordance with this manual, with demonstration
in risk-free conditions, in combination with associated
PPE. The method of connection and disconnection
of the slide on the travsmart lifeline or the steel wire
connector for the travspring™ and travspring™ One
lifelines, the failover of the lanyard connector on the
slider for use on one side or other of the line, as well
as passing the intermediate supports and bends must
be explained carefully, and user's understanding of this
method must be verified.
8.2. Usage recommendation
The travspring™, travspring™ travsmart One lifelines
must be used exclusively for protection against falls
from height, and in no event should serve as a means of
suspension. They should be used only in combination
with CE certified PPE, and in compliance with the
applicable regulations and Standards. A full body fall
arrest harness is the only acceptable body gripper to be
associated with a lifeline.
travspring™, travspring™ One and travsmart lifelines
must never be used beyond limits laid down in this
manual and the prior study.
A visual check of the sliders or, depending on the type
of lifeline, wire connectors of the complete lifeline
installation, including all associated PPE, should be
carried out prior to each usage. In case of anomaly
or damage noted on the installation, its use should be
immediately stopped until duly refurbished and handed
