entire lifeline, especially the anchors, seals, posts
and anchor points located in the fall zone, as well as
personal protective equipment concerned by the fall,
must be checked before being put back into use, and

this by a person competent to do so.
"Note": The intermediate anchors of the
travspring™, travsmart lifelines have been specially
designed to be replaced without having to dismantle the
cable. If the latter is in good condition after one or more
operators have fallen, it is not always necessary to
change it.

10. Acceptance tests

Acceptance tests are carried out at the user's initiative
and expense.
As all dynamic tests are potentially destructive , whether
totally or partially and therefore possibly not detectable
without evidence of deterioration being necessarily
conclusive, we strongly recommend that you do not
perform dynamic acceptance tests on reception of
travspring™, travspring™ One and travsmart lifelines.
"Note": To ensure the structural integrity of the
anchors for concrete, Tractel
structural anchor (end, intermediate or angle) is tested
whilst under tension to check the strength of its
attachment.
For this purpose, we apply a 5 kN force on each anchor
for at least 15 seconds and then check that it has
not suffered any deformation following this test. This
operation can be carried out using a Tractel
device.
"Important": The use of a laterally loaded end
anchor to carry out this under tension test is strictly
prohibited as this method leads to permanent anchor
deformation.
Before these tests, you must check that all bolts have
been tightened correctly.
These tests are performed before the installation of
the sealing material, if the presence of such material is
planned on the surface of the host structure receiving
the anchors.

11. Prohibited use

The use of travspring™, travspring™ One and
travsmart lifelines as recommended in this manual
offers a full guarantee of safety. It is always a good idea
to warn the installer, the user and the operator about
contraindicated manipulations and usages:
