If the engine cannot be turned over easily, the most likely
cause is the engine is fl ooded and by turning the engine over
you are trying to compress the fuel, not air. Use the following
to remedy the situation.
Läßt sich der Motor nicht mehr einfach drehen könnte es
daran liegen, dass der Zylinder mit Kraftstoff gefl utet ist.
Flüssigkeiten lassen sich nicht wie Luft komprimieren.

Si le moteur passe diffi cilement ou pas du tout le point
de compression, la cause possible est qu'il y a eu trop de
carburant à entrer et le moteur est donc noyé. Le moteur
tente de compresser le carburant au lieu de l'air. Suivez les
instructions suivantes pour sortir de cette situation.
Se si fa fatica a far girare il motore, la causa più probabile
è che sia ingolfato e quindi, cercando di farlo girare, si
comprime il carburante e non l'aria. Per rimediare a questo
inconveniente, osservare le indicazioni seguenti.

Remove the spark plug.
Zündkerze ausbauen.
Retirer la bougie.
Togliere la candela.

Cover the cylinder head with a cloth or paper towel and turn
the propeller over to expel all the excess fuel.
Zylinderkopf mit einem Papiertuch oder einem Lappen
abdecken und am Propeller drehen, um den überschüssigen
Kraftstoff herauszudrücken.
Recouvrir la culasse avec un chiffon ou une serviette en
papier et faire tourner l'hélice afi n d'expulser tout excès de
carburant.
Coprire il cilindro con uno straccio o un fazzoletto di carta e
far girare l'elica per espellere il carburante in eccesso.

Replace the spark plug and try starting again.
Zündkerze wieder einsetzen und erneut versuchen, den Motor
zu starten.
Remettre la bougie et essayer de démarrer à nouveau.

Loosen and unscrew the cylinder head bolts.

Carefully remove the cylinder liner.

Visually examine the piston and cylinder to fi nd the possible
cause of the engine's mechanical problem.

Fully drain the fuel from the tank.

Try starting the engine three more times or until it will no
longer fi re. This gets all the fuel out of the engine.
