1. Set up the correct pin assignment (see Table 5 on page 79)
on the plug connections if you do not use pre-assembled
cables.
2. Connect the incoming bus connection to X71 (2) and connect
the module with a hub or switch if further slaves are to be

connected.
Connections X71 and X72 are equal.
3. Connect the shield on both sides of the bus cable directly to
the plug housing (EMC housing), if non-pre-assembled
cables and plugs with metal housing are used. This protects
data lines from terminal interference.
Ensure that the plug housing is securely fitted to the bus
coupler housing.

When connecting the logic and load supply of the bus coupler,
ensure pin assignment according to Table 6.

The S4, S5, S6, and S7 sliding switches are used to assign
the valve groups (4 or 8 valves) (see "Assigning the valve

therefore possible to switch off the valves before or after an
emergency OFF.
