Commissioning the bus coupler

Before commissioning the system, the following steps must
have been carried out and completed:
W
You have assembled the valve terminals and the bus coupler
(see "Assembling the valve system with the bus coupler" on
page 76).
W
You have connected the bus coupler (see "Connecting the
modules electrically" on page 77).
W
You have made presettings and configured the system (see
"Making presettings" on page 87 and "Configuring the
network" on page 94).
W
You have configured the IO controller so that it controls the
valves and the input modules correctly.
W
You have carried out the diagnostic test on the input/output
modules (see "Test, diagnosis, and error messages
on the modules" on page 98).
Commissioning and operation may only be carried out by
qualified electrical or pneumatic personnel or an instructed
person under the direction and supervision of qualified
personnel (see also "Personnel qualifications" on page 67).
Uncontrolled actuator movements when the pneumatics
are switched on
Danger of injury if the system is in an undefined state and the
manual overrides are not set to position "0".

Put the system in a defined state before switching it on.
O
Set all manual overrides to position "0".
O
Make sure that no personnel are within the hazardous
zone when the pressure is switched on.
O
Also observe the applicable instructions and safety
information in the VS operating instructions.
1. Switch on the operating voltage.
2. Check the LED displays on all modules.
3. Switch on the compressed air supply.
