Commissioning the bus coupler

Before commissioning the system, the following steps must
have been carried out and completed:
You have assembled the valve terminal and the bus coupler

(see "Assembling the HF03 LG and HF04 with AS-i"
on page 60).
You have connected the bus coupler (see "Connecting the
W
bus coupler electrically" on page 64).
You have checked the presettings and system configuration
W
(see "Making and checking presettings" on page 69).
You have configured the bus master so that it controls the
W
valves and the inputs correctly.
You have carried out the diagnostic test on the bus coupler
W
(see "Test and diagnosis on the bus couplers" on page 73).
Commissioning may only be carried out by qualified electrical
or pneumatic personnel or an instructed person under the
direction and supervision of qualified personnel
(see "Personnel qualifications" on page 50).
Uncontrolled actuator movements when the pneumatics are
switched on
Danger of injury if the system is in an undefined state or the
manual overrides are set to position "1".
Put the system in a defined state before switching it on.

Set all manual overrides to position "0".

Make sure that no personnel are within the hazardous

zone when the pressure is switched on.
1. Switch on the operating voltage.
2. Check the LED displays on the bus coupler.
3. Switch on the compressed air supply.
