Test and diagnosis on the bus couplers

7.2.1

Reading the bus coupler diagnostic display

The LEDs on the front panel of the bus couplers show the status
messages of the following tables (Tab. 11, Tab. 12 and Tab. 13,
Tab. 14 on page 74) for the various module types.
Before commissioning and during operation, regularly

check bus coupler functions by reading the diagnostic
displays.
The AUX or PWR LED indicates whether there is load supply
voltage in the module (AUX/PWR LED illuminated green) or not
(AUX/PWR LED off).
Fault2 Description
Off No AS-i power supply available on bus
Off Cyclical I/O data traffic with both participants
Red No I/O data traffic
Off No I/O data traffic with participant 1
Red No I/O data traffic with participant 2
Off Short circuit/overload of sensor supply
