LED Diagnosis on the I/O Modules

The LEDs on the top of the I/O module reflect the messages shown in Tables 69 to 72.
Before commissioning and during operation, regularly check I/O module functions by reading
the LEDs.
8.1

Input modules

The input modules monitor the sensor voltage and input function.
The input module generates an error signal and reports it to the controller if
the sensor voltage falls below or exceeds the set threshold,
a short circuit in the sensor supply to X1N1, X1N2, X1N3, or X1N4 is present,
the signal acquisition delivers undefined values.

Combination modules

The combination modules monitor the actuator voltage and the function of the inputs and outputs.
The load supply for the combination module is provided by the actuator voltage (UX).
The combination module generates an error signal and reports it to the controller if
the actuator voltage falls below or exceeds the set threshold,
the signal acquisition delivers undefined values,
a diagnostic message from the driver of an output channel is present,
a short circuit in the load supply to X2A1 or X2A2 is present.
