4.4.1

Electrical connections

The bus coupler supplies power for the output module via the electrical backplane connections (13)
and (15). The module does not contain any additional power supply connections.
To discharge EMC interferences, connect the FE connection (12) to the I/O module via a
low-impedance line to functional earth. The cable cross-section must be selected according to
the application.
The output module is equipped with two output connections for actuators. These are designed as
M12 sockets, female, 5-pin, A-coded.
The connection ID for
output channel 1 is X2U1,
output channel 2 is X2U2.
See Table 13 for the pin assignments of the output connections X2U1 to X2U2.

The cable from the device to connections X2U1 and X2U2 must be shielded. The shield must be
connected to pin 5.
The cable length must not exceed 30 m.

LEDs

The I/O modules have only module-related LEDs and no channel-related LEDs. The module-related
LEDs (1), (2), and (3). are for voltage and diagnosis monitoring.
The channel-related LEDs (9) are not present with analog modules; however, the semi-circular
optical conductors are visible due to the design.
Table 14 describes the functions of the LEDs. For a comprehensive description of the LEDs, see "8
