Exchanging 8DI/8DO, 4DI/4DO bus couplers

To exchange the AS-i 8DI/8DO and 4DI/4DO bus couplers:
See Fig. 14 on page 78.
1. Make sure that the system is not under voltage or pressure.
2. Disconnect the electrical connections from the bus coupler (6).
3. Loosen the E end plate (2) (2 DIN 912 – M4 hexagonal socket-
head screws (1) each, wrench size 3) and remove it from the
tie rods (5).
4. Remove bus coupler (6) from the tie rods (5).
5. Push the new bus coupler (6) onto the tie rods.
6. Make sure that
– the tie rods (5) have been completely screwed in and
– the seals (3) have been inserted correctly.
7. Push the left E end plate (2) back on the tie rods (5) and
tighten (2 DIN 912 – M4 hexagonal socket-head screws (1)
each, wrench size 3).
Tightening torque: 2.5 to 3.0 Nm.
