PC setup program
12.4 Quick Start Agent
Installation
When installing the PC setup program, an additional program is installed with the name
"Quick Start Agent". This program is started automatically and displayed in the Windows
task bar with an icon.

Quick-starting programs
The Quick Start Agent monitors removable media on the PC and response when a device
or a USB memory stick is connected to the PC, for example. It lists all PC programs
related to the connected devices found.
The user can decide which PC program should be started.
For this, the user marks the program from the list and starts it on the "Start" button.
If only one program is available, it is launched straight away. Tap the "Close" button to
switch the Quick Start Agent to run in the background.
Quick Start Agent in the foreground or background
Click the icon in the Windows task bar with the left or the right mouse button to open a
selection list. Here, the user can bring the Quick Start agent in the foreground or in the
background by selecting the appropriate item from the list.
If the Autostart function is inactive, i.e., the symbol is not included in the task bar, the
Quick Launch Agent can be started manually from the Start menu of Windows.
The Quick Start Agent is located in the same group as the program Ecolab PC Setup
program.
Quick Start Exit Agent
Select "Close" to exit the Quick Launch Agent. You can reopen it via the Windows Start
menu.
