Personnel:
7.1
Installation note
DANGER!
The following instructions must be observed!
Staff qualifications
n
The electrical connection may only be carried out by qualified personnel.
Capacity
n
The choice of cabling – both during installation and when connecting the electrical
components – must conform to the requirements of DIN VDE 0100 "Construction of
low-voltage systems" or the appropriate local regulations (e.g. based on IEC 60364).
n
The input, output and supply lines are spatially separated from each other and not
parallel to one another.
n
Suitable cables for sensors and interfaces should be selected (and shielded twisted or
coaxial cable). These lines must not be routed close to current-carrying components or
cables.
n
Sensor cables only as full cables (not via terminal blocks or similar cause).
n
Shields are put up in accordance with the connection diagram on the device.
n
Grounding cables must be routed in star wiring for potential equalisation rail and must
not be sanded. Use the shortest possible cables. Correct potential equalisation must
be ensured.

Electrical safety

n
The device should be separated from all poles of the power supply (voltage supply
system, extraneous feeds of relay / semiconductor relay circuits, etc.), if live parts can
be touched during work.
n
The circuit capacity of the power supply should be a maximum of 10 A (slow).
n
In order to prevent the destruction of the device outputs in the event of an external
short circuit, short-circuit currents should be limited with suitable fuses in circuits with
relay or semiconductor relay outputs.
n
The device is not suitable for installation in hazardous areas.
In addition to a faulty installation, incorrect settings on the instrument may also affect
n
the subsequent process in its proper function. It should therefore always have
independent safety devices, e.g. overpressure valves, and only trained specialist
personnel/temperature monitor, given the dosage budget limits and overflow protection
devices available and the settings that are possible. In this context, the relevant safety
regulations must be observed.
The screw terminal strips may be deducted only in a dead state.
Other links
n
The electromagnetic compatibility conforms to the standards and regulations cited in
the technical data.
n
The USB interfaces as well as the binary inputs are not isolated.
The information for the galvanic isolation must be observed.
