Tracking Bracket
with Verza™ Guidance System
NEEDLE PATH VERIFICATION
Before using component for first time, perform needle path verification to verify system and Verza guide

relationships, as described in ultrasound system user guide.
Before each use, verify guidance system angles (5) correspond with system software.

NOTE: Use appropriate needle length to reach target area. Verza guide channel measures 3.4cm (1.34in).
ASSEMBLING TRACKING SYSTEM
1. With latch open, align bracket with locating features on transducer. Close latch around transducer and click
to secure. Ensure bracket is securely attached.
2. Place general purpose sensor onto sensor mount. Press general purpose sensor toward bracket and click to
secure.
WARNING
Ensure general purpose sensor is securely attached. Failure to do so could result in inaccuracy.

USING GUIDANCE SYSTEM
1. Place an appropriate amount of gel inside cover and/or on transducer face. Poor imaging may result if no
gel is used.
2. Insert transducer into cover making sure to use proper sterile technique. Pull cover tightly over transducer face
to remove wrinkles and air bubbles, taking care to avoid puncturing cover. Secure cover with enclosed
bands. Inspect cover to ensure there are no holes or tears.
3. Remove Verza from guide storage column of gauge insert tree. Using proper sterile technique, place Verza
guide onto VerzaLink locating feature. Rotate guide locking lever into locked position. Ensure guide is
securely attached.
4. FIXED ANGLE APPROACH: Using angle selector grip, slide angle indicator window to desired position and
push angle selector lock toward transducer to secure.
NOTE: Ensure angle selector lock is secure in desired position.
FREE ANGLE APPROACH: Leave angle selector lock in unlocked position and instrument remains in-plane
within constraints of guide angle range.
5. Select appropriate size gauge insert and slide into guide body chute.
