– For input channels for the measurement of combustible or toxic gases or oxygen
in line with BVS 21 ATEX G 001 X or PFG 21 G 002 X, the parameter
Measurement range minimum must be set to 0.
– If a transmitter with a catalytic sensor is used, the Overrange latching function
must be selected in the REGARD 3000 input channel or in the transmitter. For
further information see: "Overrange acknowledge parameter menu", page 156.
Dräger recommends using this setting for all applications.
– When configuring REGARD 3000 with the wizard function, the accuracy of the
modified configuration parameters must also be checked. This must be
confirmed by input of the authorisation code at the end of the configuration
process. The operator is responsible for the REGARD 3000 system
configuration.
– Only acknowledgement types LNAK and LPAK are permitted for the alarm with
the highest safety-oriented importance. For further information see: "Alarm
confirmation modes", page 134.
If there are several outputs for the highest alarm, deviations (e.g. for acoustic
alarm devices) are permissible.
– Relay outputs for safety-relevant switching actions must be configured so that
they cannot be reset if an alarm condition is active.
– For plants in the functional safety area, observe the REGARD 3000 Safety
Manual. The REGARD 3000 Safety Manual can be downloaded from Dräger
ServiceConnect
– Safety-relevant switching actions may be triggered only via the
REGARD 3000/7000 relay outputs.
– All control elements, including digital inputs and Modbus inputs, must be
protected against incorrect operation and unauthorised access.
