Installation and commissioning
7. Connect the cable harness of the Display Unit with the Docking Station (see
assembly instructions for the REGARD 3000 Display Unit).
8. Check the cleanliness of the sealing on the Diplay Unit and the contact surfaces
on the Base Unit.
9. Carefully close the Display Unit and make sure that the cable harness does not
get caught.
5.2.2

Assembly in the cabinet

Equipment:
– REGARD 3000 Display Unit (order no. 37 05 685 / 37 09 719)
– REGARD 3000 Docking Station SP (order no. 37 09 678)
– REGARD 3000 Cabinet Wire Harness 2 m (order no. 37 04 261)
– REGARD 3000 Retaining Clip (order no. 37 20 165)
– Adapter plate (order no. 37 11 953)

1. Mount the Docking Station in the cabinet with the help of the adapter plate (see
the assembly instructions for mounting the REGARD 3000 Docking Station in a
cabinet).
2. Connect the two screw terminals for earthing the Docking Station with the earth
potential.
3. Wire the Terminal Blocks in line with the system planning without connecting the
power.
4. Insert modules as specified by the system design.
5. Install the Display Unit in the cabinet door (see assembly instructions for the
REGARD 3000 Display Unit).
6. Connect the cable harness of the Display Unit with the cable harness extension
and the Docking Station (see assembly instructions for the REGARD 3000
Display Unit).
7. Secure the modules with retention clamps (REGARD 3000 Retaining Clip) (see
the assembly instructions for mounting the REGARD 3000 Docking Station in a
cabinet).
5.3

Commissioning

Requirements:
– The system has been installed and inspected in accordance with the system
documentation.
– All general conditions for trouble-free operation have been met.
– Power is switched on to the system and, if applicable, transmitters.
