The following points only apply for installation in a cabinet:
– The REGARD 3000 system and the system components must be protected from
unauthorised access (e.g. with a lockable cabinet).
– Supplying the REGARD 3000 with voltage from a DC mains is not permitted.
– Use one of the following power supply units to supply power to the REGARD
3000 from the AC mains supply:
– SELV power supply unit (separated or safety extra low voltage) pursuant to
– PELV power supply unit (protective extra low voltage) pursuant to IEC 61140
– When selecting the type of power supply unit (SELV or PELV), pay attention to
the requirements of the connected devices.
– Dräger recommends SELV power supply units for larger systems with earth
potential subject to faults.
– Dräger recommends protecting the outputs of the power supply units used
against overload.
– If necessary, install adequate active cooling in the switch cabinet to protect the
components in the switch cabinet from overheating.
