Prerequisites for operation

– The system is correctly configured.
– Commissioning is correctly completed.
– The user is logged in with the applicable role or the system is configured for
automatic login.
7.2
Requirements for systems in the area of functional
safety and measuring function for combustible gases,
oxygen and toxic gases
– After initial commissioning the passwords for the preset users must be changed.
For further information see: "Manage users", page 163.
– The 4-20 mA Input / HART 2/4 Ch modules are suitable for applications in
accordance with EN 45544-2 with transmitters, whose output current at the
occupational exposure limit is between 5.6 and 12 mA.
– When using the 4-20 mA Input / HART 2/4 Ch modules in accordance with
EN 45544-3 (toxic gases) or EN 60079-29-1 (explosive gases and vapours) with
the capture range activated, the capture value must be set to zero and the upper
and lower limit of the capture range must not exceed 5 % of the full scale
deflection.
– When using the 4-20 mA Input / HART 2/4 Ch modules in accordance with
EN 45544-2 (toxic gases), the upper limit of the capture range must not be set
above the threshold limit (calculated for the combination of REGARD 3000 and
connected transmitter). The absolute value of the lower limit of the capture
range must not be greater than double the threshold limit.
– When using the 4-20 mA Input / HART 2/4 Ch modules in accordance with
EN 50104 (oxygen) with the capture range activated, the capture value must be
set to 0 Vol% or 20.9 Vol% and the upper and lower limit of the capture range
must not exceed 2 % of the full scale deflection.
The parameter Underrange minimum is not allowed to be set to below 3.2 mA.
The parameter Measurement range ([min|max] step) must be set to 0.1 or a
smaller value.
– If the module 4-20 mA Input / HART 2/4 Ch is used, the HART
transmitter must be approved for HART
mode. The currently supported Dräger transmitters are approved for HART
communication in measuring mode. There are no restrictions for non-HART
capable transmitters.
