Application notes
Depending on the version, 4 or 8 logical Ports are available for each module. A
configured Port forms one output channel. Even so, non-configured and thus
unused Ports occupy the corresponding number of Ports in the overall system.
The following applies for the 4-Port version: the left terminal block must always be
used.
The following applies for the 8 Port variant: either only 24 V DC or only 240 V AC
mains power loads may be connected to a terminal block.
WARNING
Risk of electric shock!
If live cables with a voltage of max. 240 V AC are connected to the module:
► To ensure electrical safety, the module together with the associated Docking
Station may only be used in the closed housing (Base Unit with Display Unit) or
in a cabinet.
► Live terminals are accessible after opening the housing or cabinet. If necessary,
turn off the mains power supply when working on the housing or cabinet
installation.
► The connection lines used must at least have basic insulation.
