THE INSTRUMENT MODE OF WORKING
The instrument can be operative in two different modes:
configuration mode and operating mode. They can be
selected from the keyboard, as described in the
corresponding sections.
On switching on, the instrument starts in the "mode" it was in
before switching off (configuration mode or operating mode).

On switching on, fore conditions can be shown:
A) the display shows a number: the instrument is in
operative mode and in "normal display mode".
B) the display shows "E E E E E ." and a number: the instrument
have detected an error (see chapter "error messages"
in this manual).
