connection to multiswitch decoders (servo cables) or transistor pole reversal modules (BEC socket) can be
soldered. Do not dimension the cables too tightly, so that there is always some room for manoeuvre. This
applies in particular to the cable connections to the cab. They must be long enough to allow the cabin to be
removed. All cable connections must be easily detachable when the cabin is removed. The servo
connections for monitors B and C must be disconnected directly at the receiver.
Appropriate extension cables for the servos must be provided.
An installation option for the receiver switch (286) including an extension for actuation when the cabin is
mounted is shown in the plan.
The sleeve (72) is pushed onto the operating lever (308) (Ø 2mm brass wire). Bend wire according to plan
and hang it in the hole of the receiver switch. Glue the sleeve to the deck. A corresponding recess in the cab
must be provided for the operating lever. This means that the RC system can be switched on and off without
having to remove the cabin.
The antenna line of the receiver must be laid according to the respective description of the receiver.

Connecting the pump

Pull the sealing plug (24) out of the suction pipe (23). The Ø 8 mm suction hose (309) is pushed onto the
suction connection "B" of the pump. The length must be dimensioned so that it can be guided to the suction
pipe without kinks. Slide the hose at least 15 mm over the suction tube to prevent it from slipping off later.
Sliding on is easier if the connection is slightly moistened before. Now push the pressure hose (310) onto the
pump connection "D". Cut the hose to approx. 600 mm. Connect the pressure hose (310) and hose (Mo15)
of the monitor "A" using the adapter (311). (If necessary, the hose Mo15 can be pushed off the intermediate
piece).
Connect the hoses Ø 5.5 mm of the monitors "B" and "C" to the Y-piece (312). The T-piece (313) is inserted
into the cut pressure hose (310) at a suitable position. Insert the connecting hose (314) between the T-piece
and the Y-piece. The length of the hose (314) must be such that the cabin can be removed perfectly. The T-
piece must be fixed below the deck with double-sided adhesive tape in such a way that all hoses (when the
cabin is attached) are free of kinks.
To avoid unintentional slipping of the hoses during operation, it is recommended to wrap them with rigging
yarn at each connection. The ends of the tensioned yarn are knotted. The work on the model is finished with
the flags (315) and (316) and the self-adhesive lettering (317).

Functional checks

For the final inspection before the maiden voyage, all charged batteries must be inserted and connected.
The fully equipped boat is placed in the bathtub. Check that the boat dives to the waterline and does not
warp. Necessary corrections are to be made by moving the batteries or by adding lead.
Observe after some time (approx. 1/2 h) whether water penetrates into the boat at any place. Any leaks must
be eliminated. In turn, check each function of your model with the remote control on.
Attention:
Hold the boat firmly in the tub before slowly starting up the traction motors.
If the motors turn upside down, the motor cables must be reconnected directly to the controller. The fire
pump should not be tested in the home. Now nothing more stands between the maiden voyage of your fire-
fighting boat "DÜSSELDORF. Romarin wishes you a pleasant sailing
