14 Insert the right and left bull horns (12a and 12b)
by connecting rod and tilt tube rod as shown in the
picture.
15 Insert the washers (13) contained in bag E on the two ends
of the tilt tube rod (9). Grease the thread of both ends of the tilt
tube rod with some anti-seize grease type MOLYKOTE® 1000 or
a similar one, screw the self-lockung nuts (14) contained in bag
E with a torque of 70[Nm] (52[lb∙ft]).
CAUTION
If the self-locking nuts (14) are disassembled, replace them.
(Contact our technical assistance service, see page 6).
16 Position the lock washers (15) contained in bag F and lock
screw (16) contained in bag F by using a 19mm wrench with a
torque of 70[Nm] (52 [lb∙ft]). Apply a small amount of anti-seize
grease such as MOLYKOTE 1000 or a similar one on the outer
surface of the lock washer (15), between the washer and the
locking screw (16).
NOTICE
The lock washer tabs must be bent afterwards (see point 21).
WARNING
The operation described should only be carried out for the first installation. In case of replacement of
heads, use new screws supplied in the kit.
17 Check the correct tilting of the engine.
WARNING
If while tilting the engine is blocked, reduce the overall dimensions of the spacers.
18 Unscrew the adjustment collar (11) and bring it into contact with
the stainless washer, until the clearance is eliminated,
CAUTION
Do not use any tool for this operation.
