Guiding and supporting fabrics
Most fabrics need to be guided only in front of foot, however
somefabricsneedto be supported asthey are sewn(illustration
2).
For tricot knitting and other similar synthetic knits, apply
gentle tension by holding the fabric at the front and back of
presserfoot asyou sew. Do not pullfabric.
For fine fabrics or with unusual amount of elasticity, such as
stretch knits (helanca) or Lycra, hold the fabric firmly both
fabric and threads
Following this procedure, the stitch will not pucker.
