Ato H. Eachletterhastwotypes ofstitches: a decorativestitchand
a flexibEe stitch. In the 54 17C model it has4 positionsfrom A to D
(illustration 1).
The stitchperformedbythe machineshall d ependon the positions
of the patttern selector dial together with the stitch length dial.

When the stitch lengthdial isamong positions0 and 5, the machine
will perform decorative stitchingas indicatedin the letter of the
stitch selector.When the stitch length dial is at the mark, the
machinewiFlperform the FlexibleStitchas indicatedin the letter of

Stitch balance

This selector (Illustration3) adjuststhe flexible stitches.Flexible
stitchesusethe movementof the zigzag togetherwith forward and
reversemovement.Thesestitchesarequite useful,however they
require adjustments, made with the help of this selector. Learn
