Torn and worn-out
quickly darned with a bit of practice. If you need more sewing
control, you may use a frame (no supplied), as shown in the
illustration.
PREPARATION
Pattern: Straight stitch
Needle position: Center
Needle thread tension:
Note: Ifthe darned areaisopen, suchasahole basteapatchof
cloth underthe hole before darning the area.
1 . Remove the presser foot (see page 24), piace the work area
underthe needle and lower the pressure bar.
2. To start darning, makeuniform movements to the front and
to the back, over the area to be darned.
