The memory function is switched off by this pushbutton.
Enables erasure of the signal that is written on the storage layer of the
c.r.t. Not operative in the AUTO STORE and READ mode. In SINGLE
sweep mode, this switch also resets the time-base.
Enables variable BRIGHTNESS of a stored signal in the READ mode.
In WRITE mode, and with control pulled, variable VIEW TIME is
obtained; i.e. after a time determined by the position of this control,
automatic erasure is effected, followed by storage of a new signal.
In READ mode, the signal is stored for a longer period than in normal
mode and the BRIGHTNESS control operates.
In WRITE mode (normal), writing speed with variable persistence (or
MAX WRITE) is available to store the signals.
When AUTO STORE is depressed; the instrument is automatically in
single shot mode and an erase and reset action preceeds the following:
—
Receipt of a trigger pulse; the signal is stored but not displayed. The
LED glows to indicate storage.
By pressing READ and adjusting the BRIGHTNESS, the signal becomes
visible.
In the WRITE mode, this control enables variable retention of the
recorded waveform.
In the MAX WRITE position the writing speed is increased by a factor of
10 approx. and the c.r.t. shows some background illumination.
Output socket supplying a square-wave voltage of 2 kHz approximately,
with an amplitude of 1.2 Vp-p +1 %.

Can be used for probe compensation or for checking the vertical deflection
accuracy.
Measuring earth socket.
Input socket for external Z modulation signal.
Input socket for powering the instrument from a battery supply. Rated supply
voltage: 21 ... 30 V d.c.
Maximum current: 1,4 A, fused at 2 A.
