B. HOW TO ADD THE VENT AND BATTERY TRAY KIT
1. Remove both anti-tips.
2. Loosen and remove bolts from the anti-tip receivers.
3. Loosen and remove the bolts (A) from both ends of the middle and rear strut tubes (F).
4. Relocation of the carriage (when needed)
a. Loosen and remove rear bolt (i) from the carriage on each side.
b. Loosen and remove front bolt (ii) from the carriage on each side.
c. Set the carriage at desired location.
d. Replace and tighten all bolts.
NOTE –
Use a torque setting of 350 in.-lbs. When setting-up carriage.
5. Loosen bolt from both ends the front strut tube.
6. Insert the vent and battery tray tube extensions (C) into the frame.
7. Put the vent and battery trays back in place, replace and tighten bolts (A) from both
ends of the vent and battery tray strut tubes (F).
NOTE –
Use a torque setting of 350 in.-lbs.
8. Insert and tighten all four bolts (B) to secure the mounting brackets (G) on the vent
and battery tray extension tubes (C).
C. HOW TO REMOVE VENT & BATTERY TRAY COMPONENTS
The vent tray has a built-in anti-tip device. Regular-style anti-tips may be
required on wheelchairs without the vent and battery tray kit. Please contact
Sunrise Medical Customer Service to obtain the proper components.
Always contact Technical Service before installing or removing the vent and bat-
tery tray components to obtain the correct assembly locations of the strut tubes,
roller carriage assembly and caster brackets.
1. Loosen and remove the bolts (A) from both ends of the middle and rear vent and
battery tray strut tubes (F).
2. Loosen and remove all four bolts (B) from the vent and battery tray extension tubes
(C)
3. Remove both vent and battery tray extension tubes (C).
4. Remove the vent and battery tray.
5. Relocation of the carriage (when needed)
a. Loosen and remove rear bolt (i) from the carriage on each side.
b. Loosen and remove front bolt (ii) from the carriage on each side.
c. Set the carriage at desired location.
d. Replace and tighten all bolts.
NOTE –
Use a torque setting of 350 in.-lbs. When setting-up carriage.
6. Insert the rear strut tube (standard – not Vent &Battery Tray model) back into posi-
tion. Insert and tighten both bolts (A).
NOTE –
Use a torque setting of 350 in.-lbs.
