Allgemeines
The critical speed for flange mounted
motors can be increased by adding a
rigid support at the pair of motor feets
farthest away from the flange. DMI
always have feets.

Access to the back of the flange by
dismantling the covers. Threaded
holes in the flange for fastening the
motor can be provided on request.
Note: DMI motors always have feet.
Internal and external environmen-
tal conditions
For applications where maximum
cleaning interval is required, cooling
air inlet at D-end is recommended.
With cooling air inlet at D-end the
rated output is usually reduced and
the rating data has to be recalculated.
See "Rating data at special condi-
tions" If humidity can be expected to

fall below 6g/m
, ABB should be
consulted, as this must be considered
to make a correct choice of carbon
brush grade.
Location of cooling equipment
Fans can be located on the right or
left, or above DMI motors. Heat
exchangers must not be mounted on
the same side as the terminal box is
located.
The fans can be rotated 180°, but
normally the filter should not face
directly towards the terminal box.
If not otherwise specified on the
delivery order, the cooling equip-
ment will/must always be installed
so that the cooling air enters at
the N-end of the DMI motor.

Air/water and air/air heat exchangers
are normally delivered separately.

Conditions ambiantes intérieures

Pour les applications exigeant des
intervalles de nettoyage les plus
longs possibles, il est recommandé
de prévoir une admission d'air de
refroidissement à l'extrémité D. Avec
une admission d'air de
refroidissement à l'extrémité D, la
puissance nominale est généralement
réduite et les valeurs nominales
doivent être recalculées. Voir «
Valeurs nominales en conditions
spéciales » dans cet addenda.
Positionnement de l'équipement
de refroidissement
Les moto-ventilateurs peuvent être
situés à droite, à gauche, ou sur le
dessus des machines DMI. Les échan-
geurs ne doivent pas être montés du
même côté que le boîtier de connexion.
Les moto-ventilateurs peuvent être
tournés de 180° mais normalement le
filtre ne doit pas pas être directement
orienté vers le boîtier de connexion.
Sauf spécification contraire dans la
commande, l'équipement de refroi-
dissement sera toujours monté de
telle sorte que l'air de refroidisse-
ment entre à l'extrémité N de la
machine DMI.
Détails d'expédition
Les échangeurs air/eau et air/air sont
normalement livrés séparément.
Sauf indication contraire, les autres
accessoires sont livrés montés sur la
machine DMI.
Innere und äußere Umwelt-
bedingungen
Bei Anwendungen, bei denen
maximale Reinigungsintervalle
erforderlich sind, wird Kühllufteinlaß
am D-Ende empfohlen. Bei
Kühllufteinlaß am D-Ende verringert
sich in der Regel die Nennleistung
und die Nenndaten müssen neu
berechnet werden. Siehe dazu den
Punkt „Nenndaten bei speziellen
Bedingungen" in dieser Ergänzung.
Anordnung der Kühlausrüstung
Lüfter können rechts, links oder oben
an die DMI-Maschinen angebaut wer-
den. Wärmetauscher dürfen nicht auf
der selben Seite wie der Klemmen-
kasten montiert werden.
Die Lüfter können um 180° gedreht
werden, aber der Filter darf norma-
lerweise nicht direkt gegen den
Klemmenkasten gerichtet sein.
Ist nichts anderes in der Bestellung
angegeben worden, ist die Kühlaus-
rüstung stets so anzubauen, daß
die Kühlluft am N-Ende der DMI-
Maschine eintritt.
Transportart
Luft/Wasser- und Luft/Luft-Wärmetau-
scher werden normalerweise separat
geliefert.
Wenn nichts anderes vereinbart
wurde, werden andere Zubehörteile
werkseitig am DMI-Motor montiert.
