Mounting arrangements
The motors can be mounted as
shown below. Designations are in
accordance with IEC Publ. 34-7.

1)
Foundation, motor itself and fastening
of motor always works together as a
system. All systems (applications)
independent of make and type of
motor always have a certain so called
"critical speed" where very high
vibrations appear even if balancing is
perfect.
In an application with foot mounted
motor on rigid foundation the critical
speed always is much higher than the
maximum speed in operation and
consequently there is no problem with
vibration.
Normally there is no vibration
problem with a foot mounted motor if
mass of foundation is 5 times the mass
of the motor or higher.
Foundations with low stiffness or low
stiffness at the fastening point like
flange mounting sometimes lead to a
critical speed within the speed range
in operation. If motor is running at or
close to the critical speed for a period
of time damage can occur on the
motor. Fast acceleration through the
critical speed is not harmful.

1) Avec un support rigide de ces deux
pieds du stator, la vitesse mécanique
maximum peut être élevée à la même
valeur que pour les machines montées
à pattes dans la même position. Sans
support, la vitesse maximale autorisée
dépend de la rigidité et du volume de
la fondation et du type d'application.
Les valeurs de vitesse maximale sont
disponibles sur demande.
2) Accès à l'arrière de la bride en
démontant les carters. Des trous filetés
de la bride pour la fixation du moteurs
sont disponibles sur demande.
Note: Les moteurs DMI ont toujours des
pattes.

1) Nach Versteifung mit Hilfe dieser zwei
Ständerfüße kann die höchste mecha-
nische Drehzahl auf denselben Wert
wie bei Fußbauform erhöht werden.
Ohne Versteifung hängt die zulässige
maximale Geschwindkigkeit von der
Steifigkeit und Masse des Fundaments
und von der Art der Applikation ab.
Maximale Geschwindigkeitswerte
können auf Wunsch geliefert werden.
2) Zugang zur Rückseite des Flansches
nach Demontage der Abdeckungen.
Gewindebohrungen im Flansch zum
Befestigen des Motors können auf
Anfrage geliefert werden.
Bemerkung: Die DMI Motoren haben
immer Füße.
