Fan location
Fans can be located at the top, on
the right and left sides of the DMI
motor. It can also be located on the
N-end or D-end. Location on the N-
end and air inlet from the N-end is
standard. Air inlet at the D-end may
affect the motor size. To minimize
maintenance, the cooling air inlet at
the D-end is recommended for
applications with constantly low
cooling air temperatures, like ski-lifts
or if the motor constantly runs at a
low load. However, before making a
decision, the optimal cooling must be
calculated by ABB.

Emplacement du ventilateur
Le ventilateur peut être placé sur le
dessus ou le côté droit ou gauche du
moteur DMI. Il peut aussi être placé sur
l'extrémité N ou D. L'emplacement sur
l'extrémité N avec admission d'air à
l'extrémité N est standard. L'admission
d'air à l'extrémité D peut affecter les
dimensions du moteur. Pour réduire
l'entretien, l'admission d'air de refroidis-
sement à l'extrémité D est recommandée
pour les applications avec températures
d'air de refroidissement constamment
basses comme les ski-lifts ou si le moteur
tourne toujours à faible charge. Cepen-
dant, le refroidissement optimal doit être
calculé par ABB avant toute décision. Les
emplacements du ventilateur sont indi-
qués ci-dessous.

Lüfteranordnung
Der Lüfter kann auf der Oberseite,
rechts oder links am DMI-Motor
plaziert werden. Er kann zudem am
N- und am D-Ende plaziert werden.
Ein Lufteinlaß am D-Ende beeinflußt
u. U. die Motorgröße. Um die War-
tung zu minimieren, wird empfohlen,
den Kühllufteinlaß am D-Ende zu
plazieren, wenn in der Anwendung
ständig niedrige Kühltemperaturen
herrschen, wie z. B. bei Ski-Liften,
oder wenn der Motor kontinuierlich
mit niedriger Last läuft. Die endgülti-
ge Entscheidung sollte jedoch in
Rücksprache mit ABB getroffen
werden. Folgende Lüfterpositionen
sind Lieferbar.
