Operation
Preparation
NOTICE
Follow the full face mask instructions for use and, if necessary,
contact the manufacturer.
If present, remove the communication unit from the full face
masks.
Dräger recommends removing the inhalation valve (valve
seat and valve disk), exhalation valve and spring carrier.
These small parts can also be processed in small parts
baskets on the full face mask trolley.
Procedure
NOTICE
Load the full face mask trolley from the side where the nozzle
frame is mounted. Load one horizontal row after the other.
NOTICE
Care must be taken to ensure even loading of the full face
mask trolley so that there is no imbalance when the trolley is
not fully loaded.
1. Fix the drum of the full face
mask trolley with the locking
pin.
2. If necessary, remove the
small parts of the full face
mask and place them in a
small parts basket. Fix the
small parts basket underneath the corresponding mask
holder.
3. Fold up the clamping bracket of the mask holder.
4. Place the full face mask on the mask holder with the plug-
in coupling in front and the visor facing upwards. Ensure
that the full face mask lies loosely on the holder and that
the head harness of the full face mask is below the holder
and not in the rotation range of the nozzles. Position the
mask/helmet adapter of mask/helmet combinations in such
a way that the adapters cannot tilt due to the rotational
movement of the drum.
5. Fold down the clamping bracket. Make sure that the
clamping bracket lies on the visor frame of the full face
mask and does not open by itself when the drum rotates.
6. Hang the neck strap of the full face mask, if present, on the
hook of the clamping bracket. Make sure that the neck
strap cannot be caught due to the rotational movement of
the drum.
7. Continue loading the full face mask trolley until the
horizontal row is full.
34
CAUTION
Danger of jamming due to the drum being loaded on one side
When the locking pin is released, the drum can rotate by itself.
► Proceed with caution and fix the locking pin again after
controlled rotation.
8. When a horizontal row is fully loaded, loosen the locking
pin and carefully rotate the drum. When the next row to be
loaded is accessible, fix the locking pin again.
9. Continue to load the full face mask trolley until all the full
face masks to be processed have been applied.
10. Carefully check the full face mask trolley for ease of
movement when rotating and check that no imbalance is
caused by uneven loading and that the mask parts cannot
become caught on the full face mask trolley due to the
rotational movement of the drum.
