Procedure
NOTICE
It is recommended that a boot holder be used to attach the
CPS to the CPS trolley. The following steps are described
using the Dräger height-adjustable boot holder (optional).
Alternatively, a comparable boot holder can be used. Refer to
the relevant instructions for use for information on how to use
these.
1. Pull the boot holder into the lowest position using the
handle.
2. Open the CPS and hang the boots upside down into the
boot holder. Take care to hang up the CSA in such a way
that the loading of the CSA trolley can be carried out
without problems.
3. Press the boot holder into the upper or middle position
using the handle. For small CPS (size S), the middle
position of the boot holder is recommended, otherwise the
CPS hangs too high and cannot be fixed on the CPS trolley.
4. Disconnect the spiral hoses of the water supply for the arm
and leg spars from the CPS trolley.
5. Remove the arm, leg and back support from the air
distributor of the CPS trolley.
6. Adjust the arm and leg spars and, if necessary, the back
supports (only when processing CPS with integrated
backpack) to the respective suit size.
a. Loosen the locking pin.
b. Set the tube using the size markings.
c. Fasten the locking pin again.
7. Pull up the suction hose with intake mushroom so that the
hose does not hang down.
8. Move the CPS trolley under the CPS so that the CPS trolley
connections are on the same side as the CPS opening.
9. Lock the castors of the CPS trolley.
10. Pull the head section of the suit over the air distributor.
CAUTION
Risk of crushing and damage to equipment
Take care when pushing the arm spar into the air distributor
and avoid trapping materials or other objects.
► Do not stretch the zipper, as this will damage it.
► Do not twist the CPS arm.
► The glove joint must be flush with the attachment all the
way round.
11. Slide the rear arm spar with the front white attachment into
the arm of the CPS up to the glove joint.
12. Insert the arm spar into the air distributor of the CPS trolley
and position accurately by turning it slightly. Make sure that
the arm of the CPS is not twisted.
13. Couple the blue spiral hose from the arm spar with the
water distributor of the CPS trolley.
CAUTION
Risk of injury
If the leg spar and CPS boot are lifted from the boot holder, the
leg spar and boot may fall.
► Always take care when lifting the leg spar and CPS boot
out of the boot holder and attachingthem to the CPS
trolley.
CAUTION
Risk of crushing and damage to equipment
Take care when pushing the leg spar into the air distributor and
avoid trapping materials or other objects.
► Do not stretch the zipper and thus damage it.
► Do not twist the CPS leg.
► The leg spar attachment must point towards the toe of the
boot.
14. Slide the rear leg spar with the front white attachment into
the leg of the CPS. Make sure that the air outlet points
towards the toe of the boot.
15. Unhook the boot from the boot holder.
16. Insert the leg spar into the air distributor of the CPS trolley
and position accurately by turning it slightly. Make sure that
the leg of the CPS is not twisted.
17. Couple the blue spiral hose from the leg spar with the water
distributor of the CPS trolley.
18. If the CPS has an integrated backpack, the back support
must be inserted and attached to the air distributor.
Depending on which side the backpack is on, the back
support must be attached to the air distributor of the CPS
trolley.
19. Adjust the back support so that no creases form on the
outside of the CPS material and water can drain away
easily everywhere.
20. Lower the suction hose with intake mushroom into the
head section of the CPS so that the intake mushroom
hangs at the lowest point of the CPS.
21. Fasten the 2nd leg as described in points 14. to 17..
22. Fasten the 2nd arm as described in points 11. to 13..
23. Check the position of the CPS on the CPS trolley. There
must not be any creases in the CPS in which water can
collect, which can impair the washing and drying
performance.
24. Check the position of the intake mushroom at the lowest
point in the head section of the CPS again. Place the head
section with the visor facing upwards.
25. Close the zipper of the CPS.
