Feature description
The Multifunctional Cabinet 7000 (MFC 7000) is used for the
fully automatic cleaning, disinfection and drying of PPE, such
as CPS, full face masks, LDV, SCBA., and fire helmets.
CPS, full face masks, LDV, SCBA., and fire helmets are loaded
ont trolleys and cleaned and/or disinfected in the MFC 7000.
The MFC 7000 can be operated with the pre-programmed
wash procedures. You can also create and use your own wash
programs via the software.
The MFC 7000 is also optionally available with a 2nd door.
With the two-door version, the cabin can be used as an airlock
between the black area and the white area in respiratory
protection workshops. In addition, an emergency stop button
and a signal light are installed in the white area.
The frame connections for water supply, water drainage, air
supply, compressed air supply and power supply are located
on the cabin interior.
Not all connections are required for every cleaning process.
The power supply, for example, is only required for cleaning
masks and LDV with the corresponding trolleys; the air supply
is only required for cleaning CPS.
The cabin door is equipped with several magnets. This
ensures that the door is in full contact with the seal during
operation.
3.6
Intended use
The MFC 7000 is used exclusively for the fully automatic
cleaning, disinfection and drying of CPS, full face masks, LDV,
SCBA, and fire helmets. The PPE must be approved by the
manufacturer for cleaning and reprocessing in a spraying
procedure.
The MFC 7000 may only be installed and put into operation
after installation by Dräger Service or by qualified personnel
authorized by Dräger.
3.7
Limitations on use
Any use other than that described in chapter 3.6 "Intended
use" should be regarded as incorrect use. Especially the
following points are not permitted:
The decontamination of chemically, biologically or radioac-
tively contaminated equipment in the cabin.
Cleaning of PPE which is not approved by the manufactur-
er for cleaning and reprocessing in a spraying procedure.

Operation
4.1
Prerequisites
NOTICE
If the door of the MFC 7000 is opened after a wash procedure,
steam may escape and this could trigger a smoke detector (if
present). This must be taken into account when setting up the
MFC 7000 and creating a wash procedure.
NOTICE
Precautions against the emission of moisture or cleaning
vapors into other rooms must be taken. The cleaning vapors
may be corrosive.
1. Connect the exhaust air connection of the MFC 7000. Pay
attention to the technical data (see chapter 9). Dräger
recommends separately discharging the waste air to the
outside. If the plant is connected to a central exhaust air
system, provision must be made to ensure reliable func-
tioning of the extraction system at the cabin connection.
The MFC 7000 is completely assembled, connected and
commissioned.
4.2
Preparations for operation
Carry out a daily visual inspection (see chapter 6.1.1).
If necessary, open the water tap in the technical cabinet.
Check the level of the softener salt at least once a week or
more often depending on the frequency of use.
Check the level of the detergent/disinfectant at least once
a week or more often depending on the frequency of use.
Load the trolley (see chapters 4.2.1 to 4.2.4). The trolley
can be loaded during the wait times when the MFC 7000 is
switched on.
All connections that are not relevant for the planned
cleaning must be covered or closed before the trolley is
driven in to prevent uncontrolled water ingress and thus
damage to the equipment.
The baffle plate must be attached if no CPS is being
cleaned.
4.2.1
Trolley for CPS (optional)
Preparation
NOTICE
Follow the CPS instructions for use and, if necessary, contact
the manufacturer.
Remove the anti-fog visor/protective foil on the CPS visor.
Remove the padding, if present, from the CPS backpack.
Remove the insoles, if present, from the boots.
If the CPS has a permanently attached mask, the small
parts (e.g. inhalation valve, exhalation valve, spring carrier)
must be removed and cleaned separately.
