10.1 Information on quality

The following are not defects:
– Moisture, humidity
– Water ingress
– Minor scratches
– Varying surface appearance
Moisture, humidity
The trailer is not thermally insulated.
Condensation may therefore form under
canvas covers, polyester roofs and alu-
minium roofs.
Water ingress
Water may enter the trailer through
openings such as doors, ramps and win-
dows.
NOTE
If you leave your trailer closed and
parked for long periods, make sure to
ventilate the interior every now and again
to prevent mildew from forming.
If possible, park the trailer tilted slightly
and with the box open. This will prevent
rainwater from collecting on the bed over
long periods.

Minor scratches
During the production of Böckmann trail-
ers, care is taken to ensure that surfaces
are not scratched. However, since the
trailers are hand-built, minor scratches
can arise on the surfaces during assem-
bly. These scratches do not affect the
functioning or safety of the trailer.
Polyester components
The polyester components are not 100%
colour-fast. Bleaching and/or colour
changes may therefore occur. The indi-
vidual components of polyester con-
structions may differ in colour and gloss.
Hairline cracks may also occur due to
concentrated loading on components,
e.g. from cargo sliding and hitting the
wall. Hairline cracks are visible marks on
the components, but do not affect the
functioning or the safety of the trailer.
10.1.1 Varying surface appearance
Wood surfaces
All wood surfaces used are coated with
phenolic resin or plastic. Both phenolic
resin and plastic react to changing
weather conditions. The colours may
fade.
