7.2 Pre-drive checklist

Check
1. Has the bed been lowered and secured?
2. Has the cable remote control been inserted into the bracket and the cable
wound up?
3. Is the canvas cover closed?
4. Is the load weight correctly distributed?
5. Has the load in the trailer been secured against slipping and have all loose
objects been removed?
6. Have all loose objects been removed from the fenders?
7. Have all side walls, ramps and doors been closed and locked?
8. Is the coupling correctly engaged and secured?
9. Has the breakaway cable been attached as required by law?
10.Has the parking brake been released?
11.Has the connector been firmly connected and secured?
12.Has the jockey wheel been fully raised and secured?
13.Have the brake wedges been removed and stowed away safely?
14.Have the tyres been inflated to the correct pressure?
15.Have the rear prop stands been raised and secured?
Has the crank been removed and stored safely?
16.Have the drive-on ramps been safely stowed away and secured?
17.Is the lighting system free from damage and working?
Are the marker and position lights undamaged?
18.Has the brake system been connected and has a brake test been carried
out?
19.Only on the tipper: have the locking pins including the split pins been inserted
into the rear pivoting bearings and has the eccentric fastener at the front
been closed?
20.Has the pump lever been stowed away correctly?
