Whenever you turn off the printer, wait at least 10 seconds
before turning it back on. Rapidly turning it on and off can
damage the printer.

Factory reset

Performing the factory reset clears printer memory and returns all
printer settings to their factory default settings. The print job currently
loaded in memory, current settings, and downloaded fonts are erased.
The printer hardware also returns to the factory default conditions.
To perform a factory reset, make sure the printer is off, and then turn
it on while holding down the Reset button.

Cleaning the Printer

The printer needs only minimal cleaning. If you notice a decline in
print quality, clean the glass lens and the inside of the printer, as
described in this section.
You should also clean the paper feeder and the printer cover every
few months. These procedures are described later in this section.
Fine particles of paper dust and ordinary dust can collect inside the
printer. Follow the steps below to clean the inside of the printer and
the paper feeder.
