Creating a softtray
Before you can use an overlay, you must first create a softtray.
The Softtray Manager merges your document files with a
previously defined overlay and assigns the overlay to specified
pages of the document.
After creating an overlay, follow these steps to create and assign a
softtray:
1. From the driver menu, click the Overlays button.
2. Click the Softtray button.
3. From the list of available overlays, select the overlay you want.
4. Click on the page or pages (represented by page icons) that you
want the overlay to print on. You can assign the overlay to
print on either all left or right pages by clicking the Left or
Right button at the bottom of the screen. If you want to assign
the overlay to print on a range of pages, click on the Option
menu tab and then enter the desired values in the "Start with
page #" or "Page range from 0 to #" dialog box.
5. Click on Softtray at the bottom of the screen to open the Softtray
menu.
6. From the menu, select Save As and assign a unique name to the
softtray. Then click Save to save the softtray.
7. Click on Softtray at the bottom of the screen and choose Select
Softtray from the menu. Then select the softtray you want
from the list to make it the active softtray.
8. Click the Select button.
9. Exit the printer driver.
