HYDRAULIC SYSTEM PRESSURE GAUGE TEST
PORTS
If any problems are experienced with the hydraulic
system service ports are provided to enable pressures
to be checked.
These service ports are situated beside the seat on
the right hand side of the machine. All tests, unless
stated otherwise, should be carried out with the
hydraulic oil at normal working temperature.
TEST PORTS (Fig.48):
1.
Transmission pressure forward:
With the machine restrained and the engine
speed set to maximum 2950r.p.m. and traction
pedal in forward position a reading of 250 bar
(3625 psi) should be obtained.
2.
Transmission pressure reverse:
With the machine restrained and the engine
speed set to maximum 2950r.p.m. and traction
pedal in reverse position a reading of 250 bar
(3625 psi) should be obtained.
3.
Charge pressure:
With the engine speed set to maximum
2950r.p.m.and the transmission oil hot a
maximum pressure of 18 - 26 bar
(261 - 377 p.s.i.) should be obtained.
4.
Pump case pressure:
With the engine speed set to maximum
2950r.p.m.
Maximum case pressure must not exceed 1.7
bar (25 p.s.i.) continuous.
Maximum allowable intermittent case pressure
during cold start must not exceed 5 bar
(75p.s.i.)
5.
Counterbalance pressure:
With the cutting units lowered adjust the
counterbalance control to check minimum and
maximum pressures. These should be
between 13.8 and 27.6 bar (200 and 400 p.s.i.)
Whilst reading this figure do not operate the
steering or traction pedal.
Lift pressure:
With the lift levers held in the lift position and
the cutting unit fully lifted the gauge reading will
be:
(a) With minimum counterbalance set 187 bar
(2750 p.s.i.)
(b) With maximum counterbalance set 204 bar
(3000 p.s.i.)
NOTE: Any servicing of the hydraulic system
must be carried out by trained service personnel.
