ADJUSTMENTS, LUBRICATION, MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
The baler has been designed and manufactured for a
reduced maintenance.
Anyway, a regular lubrication is the best warranty
against failures and repairs; it also improves the ma-
chine life remarkably.
Carry out the lubrication according to the lubrication
table intervals described later in this section.

always release the tractor PTO, switch the engine off and release the (tractor) parking brake.

Before leaving the cab to lubricate the baler, remove the tractor ignition key.

Cut power off to the on- -board computer.

If the baler must be lubricated with open tailgate, operate the locking devices of fig. 23.

Use sturdy stools or a suitable ladder to grease the greasers that cannot be reached, as they are
placed on the top of the machine.
All the baler greasing points, independently of the
recommended lubrication intervals, are marked by
yellow dots, diameter 10 mm; the parts to be oiled are
represented by the symbol of an oiler.
Use multi- -purpose grease complying with the NLGI standard, class 2, such as ARBOR MBD

Keep the oil level in the drive housing next to the
screw (B). Use oil complying with the API- -GL5
and SAE standards such as ARBOR TRW 90.
Check the oil level before start--up, make sure there
are no oil leaks during the first 50 hours and then

Before greasing, clean the greasers.
Use multi--purpose grease complying with the NLGI
standard, class 2, such as for example ARBOR MBD.
Unless differently instructed, all the points must be
greased until grease comes out from the greased
points; then, clean the excess grease to prevent dirt
accumulation.
To identify the recommended lubrication intervals,
refer to the following table and the references in fig-
ure 49, where the different parts to be lubricated with
the letters A = 10 hours, B = 50 hours, C = 100 hours.
