Swath feeding
The best condition would be of making 120/140--cm
large swaths, so that the harvesting could be made
quite straight on instead of by alternate sections, as
explained here below.
In most cases, to prevent baling truncated--cone or
barrel--shaped bales, proceed as follows:
start baling from the center, for an easier core build
up; then, proceed alternately as shown in fig. 26, re.
2, where on each side part the baler proceeds for
about 7--10 seconds (depending on the swath type
and on the crop type).
TWINE THREADING
Twine type: practically all types of sisal and polypro-
pilene twines can be used.
The most used twine types are sisal by 250 kgm for
heavy bales and up to 400 kgm for light bales.
The recommended polypropilene twine is 350 kgm
for heavy bales (silage) and up to 750 kgm for light
bales.
WARNING: thread the twine only when the
tractor and the baler are stopped.
Position the twine rolls in the suitable box, fig. 8.
These twine rolls must be linked reciprocally, in pairs,
following the sketch shown in fig. 8, to power the
wrappers with two rolls each.
--
The twines pass under the twine--box, through
the eyelets, re. 4 fig. 4, and through the twine--re-
tainer, ref. 5 fig. 4.
--
Then, the inner twine, re. 6, fig. 4, winds for two
turns the wrapper control pulley, re. 7, fig. 4, then
enters the wrapper rollers, re. 9, fig. 4.
--
The outer twine, re. 8 fig. 4, instead, goes directly
to the wrapper, re. 10 fig. 4.
TWINE THREADING WITH NET WRAPPER
(OPTIONAL)
To check the start and the twine wrapping with fitted
net wrapper, an alternative twine routing is available.
-- Position the twine rolls in the twine--box and link
them reciprocally, in pairs, following the sketch
shown in fig. 8.1, to power the wrappers with two rolls
each.
-- Make the twines come out from the eyelets, re. 1
and enter the eyelets re. 2, as shown in fig. 8.1.
-- The remaining twine path is unchanged, thus the
twines continue their path coming out from the lower
eyelets of the twine--box, re. 4, fig. 4.
NET THREADING (only with net wrapper kit
installed - - fig. 13)
WARNING: risk of cutting of upper limbs. Lift
the tailgate before replacing/threading the
new net roll. Wait until all baler parts have co-
me to a complete stop.
WARNING: thread the net only when the trac-
tor and the baler are stopped.
Lift the net brake, re. 1.
Position the net roll on the cover, re. 2.
Wind the net end, re. 3, and thread it between the two
net engagement control rollers, re. 4 and 5.
Position the roll in the box, re. 6, checking if it unwinds
in the direction show by the arrow.
Close the cover, re. 7. Considering that the cover
works as a retainer by the spring, re. 8, the spring
must be placed in the eyelet, re. 9, when the roll is
new and through the eyelets, re. 10, when the roll dia-
meter decreases.
