Completing the suggestions included in the chapter "Important Remarks for Environmental Protection", to be car-
ried out during the whole machine activity, the operations listed below must be performed when scrapping the
baler.
D get information on the legal requirements in force in your country and strictly comply with them.
D If there are no regulations, contact your Dealer about the possibility of handing the machine over to a company
specialized in machine disposal.
Some suggestions:
1 -- drain off the hydraulic circuit, the drive housings, etc... collecting the oil in suitable containers to be kept in a
safe place until they can be properly disposed of.
2 -- Sort out the different materials, such as glass, plastic, iron, aluminium, tyres, etc... for their easier recycling.
VIBRATIONS AT THE OPERATOR'S LEVEL
Considering that the operator's work place, in standard harvesting conditions, is the tractor operator's seat, the
level of vibrations felt by the operator depends on the type of tractor being used.
Thus, it is impossible to determine the values of vibrations for the operator.
In compliance with the 86/188/EEC directive and the national regulations, the noise levels listed below are those
measured during work, in dB (A), according to the ISO 5131 standard.
The noise level is measured when the engine is running and all the systems are engaged at a standard operating
speed for the special use, without crop.
To measure the noise at the operator's seat produced by the tractor--machine assembly, the noise of the baler
towed by the tractor is measured at 200 mm from the position corresponding to the open rear window of an aver-
agely--sized tractor, suitable for the baler towing.
In case of tractors with cab, the noise level heard by the operator is clearly lower when all the windows, doors
and other openings are closed.
The exact noise level depends on the cab sound insulation quality.
The noise produced by the baler is over 85 dB (A); thus, if the tractor has no cab or operates with doors and/or
windows open, it is advisable to wear ear muffs.
This procedure is compulsory in many countries, thus it is advisable to check local regulations in force.
Measured noise level: 90 dB(A).
