FLOAT HEIGHT INSPECTION

1. Measure:
9 Float height
Out of specification → Replace.
TIP
9 Lift up the float height so that the tip of the
float valve lightly contacts the float arm, and
then measure the float height a.
9 Do not adjust the float height.
Float height:
17 mm (0.67 in)
2. Inspect:
9 Jets
9 Carburetor body
Check for clogging.
Clogged → Clean the jet by applying
compressed air.
3. Inspect:
9 Valve seat
Wear/damage → Replace.
Dirt → Clean.

2 Dirt
