6. CDI magneto resistance
9 Remove the CDI magneto.
1) Charge coil resistance
9 Connect the pocket tester (Ω × 100) to the
charge coil terminal.
Tester (+) lead → Brown terminal 1
Tester (–) lead → Black terminal 3
Charge coil resistance:
350 Ω ± 10 % at 20 °C (68 °F)
2) Pulsar coil resistance
9 Connect the pocket tester (Ω × 10)
Tester (+) lead → Red/White terminal 2
Tester (–) lead → Black terminal 3
Pulsar coil resistance:
15 Ω ± 10 % at 20 °C (68 °F)

7. Engine switch
9 Disconnect the engine switch coupler in the
control box.
9 Connect the pocket tester (Ω × 1k) to the
engine switch terminal.
Tester (+) lead → Orange terminal 1
Tester (–) lead → Green/Yellow terminal 2
Switch "ON" → Continuity
Switch "OFF" → No continuity
