8. Oil level switch
9 Remove the oil level switch from the bottom
of the crankcase.
Refer to "CRANKCASE COVER AND
CAMSHAFT" in CHAPTER 3.
9 Connect the pocket tester to the oil level
switch for continuity.
Tester (+) lead → Black lead 1
Tester (–) lead → Ground 2
å å Continuity → Correct
∫ ∫ No continuity → Correct
CONTINUITY
9. Wire harness
9 Check the terminal of the connector for con-
tamination, rust, or disconnection.
GOOD
Replace the CDI unit/ignition coil.
NO CONTINUITY
NOT GOOD
