FOCUSING

The Focusing Screen of KONICA Autoreflex T4 is of a dual
range meter of Split-Image (51) at the center and Micro-
diaprism (50) at the outside. Focusing is enabled by either
system alike.
Microdiaprism: While the finder is being looked into, turn
the Focusing Ring (11) so that the image in the Microdia-
prism at the center of the field of view may be clearly seen. If
it is out of focus, the image will look rugged.
Split-Image: While the finder is being looked into, turn the
Focusing Ring (11) so that the horizontally sectioned halves
of the image in the split-image area at the center of the field
of view may be seen as a single image. If it is out of focus, the
upper and lower halves will look slipped out of place.
• When a taking lens darker than f/4.5 is used or when
close-ups are taken, it will become difficult to focus the
lens with the Microdiaprism or Split-Image at the center.
Focus the lens, using the Mat Plane (52) around the
center.

ENTFERUNGSEINSTELLUNG
Die Entfernung kann entweder mit dem Schnittbildentfern-
ungsmesser (51) im Zentrum des Sucherbildes oder auf dem
Mikroprismenfeld (50), das den Schnittbildentfernungsmesser
umgibt, eingestellt werden.
Bei Mikro-Prismenfeld: Drehen Sie, indem Sie in den Sucher
blicken, den Entfernungseinstellring (11) so, daß das im Mi-
kro-Prismenfeld erscheinende Bild deutlich sichtbar ist. Falls
nicht scharf eingestellt ist, erscheint das Bild grob.
Bei Schnittbild: Drehen Sie unter Einblick in den Sucher den
Entfernungseinstellring (11) so, daß die horizontal abgeteil-
ten Bildhälften, die im Schnittbildbereich sichtbar sind, als
ein einzelnes Bild erscheinen. Falls nicht scharf eingestellt ist,
sind obere und untere Hälfte voneinander versetzt.
• Bei einem Öffnungswert unter f/4.5 oder bei Großaufnah-
men wird es schwierig, das Objektiv über Mikro-Prismen-
feld oder Schnittbild im Zentrum scharfeinzustellen. Ma-
chen Sie die Scharfeinstellung über die Mattscheibe (52)
rings um das Zentrum.
