The installer must supply the anchorage devices for all cables in and out of the unit.
Avoid having the casing come into contact with the electrical panel to avoid
electric shocks which could cause injury or death.
Check that the connectors of the illumination (shelves, ceiling, superstructure)
are inserted properly and blocked in their sockets so as to avoid
disconnection during cleaning and maintenance operations which could lead
to electrical shocks harmful to the operator.
The automatic thermomagnetic switch should be designed so as not to open the
neutral circuit without simultaneously opening the phases. In any case, the opening
distance for the contacts must be at least 3mm.
15. Start-up, temperature control and adjustment
- specialised technician -
The refrigeration temperature is controlled by a mechanical thermometer (Rif. 12)
located on the suction sheet or the display of the CAREL thermometer/thermostat
located on the lower part of the cabinet (Rif. 13).
Normally the controller is set in the factory during testing, but it is possible to alter the
programming. To do so, please refer to the instructions given by the control device
manufacturer.
The temperature varies on the basis of the type of multiplexing. See table Rif.

16.Filling the unit - qualified operator -

To refill the unit, you must comply with some important rules:
arrange the goods in such a way that the maximum load line (Rif. 17) is never
exceeded, exceeding this limit can prevent proper air circulation (Rif. 18), causing
the temperature of the goods to rise and ice to form on the evaporator, as well as
the formation of condensation and/or ice on the sliding doors.
the arrangement of goods, without leaving empty areas, guarantees optimum unit
function;
arrange the goods in a way that does not interfere with the circulation of the
refrigerated air
The refrigeration unit is designed to maintain the temperature of the product
displayed and not to lower it. Food products must only be introduced if already
cooled to their respective storage temperatures. DO NOT introduce products
that have been heated.
We recommend first using up the goods that have been stored in the unit the
longest, before adding new arrivals (food stock rotation);

17.Defrost and water draining

Sendai refrigeration units are provided with one of two defrost systems based on the
model:
Model L=850: electrical defrost (through the use of an armoured resistance
inserted in the evaporator).
Model L=1000: simple-stop defrost (by stopping the refrigeration cycle)
During the defrost phase, the temperature of the product on display will rise, but in any
case should not exceed the limits set by the law. Once the defrost phase is complete,
the system will quickly reach operating temperature.
If the height of the tank is adjusted with respect to the base, visually check that the
water discharge tubes reach the evaporation basin through the special passage
(rectangular metal pipe) located in the base which holds the motorised condensing
assembly without intercepting moving parts (e.g. fan blades). If necessary, remove the
covers of the base to make inspection easier.
