Lorsqu'on établit le circuit d'excitation, on obtient un flux
qui induit une tension entre les balais s'ils ne sont pas
réglés en ligne neutre. La source d'excitation peut être le
convertisseur ou une batterie de 12-24 V.
Remarque
Noter que la gamme de mesure plus élevée sur le
voltmètre doit être utilisée pour un réglage approxi-
matif, et la gamme inférieure pour le réglage final.
Le porte-balais doit être tourné jusqu'à ce que la tension
induite soit aussi près que possible de 0 Volt.
Avertissement
Débrancher le voltmètre avant de couper la tension
d'excitation, sinon il pourra être endommagé.
Avant d'utiliser cette méthode de réglage, il faut avoir rodé
correctement le balai, c'est-à-dire que la surface de
contact des balais doit avoir le même rayon que le
collecteur. Comme contrôle final du point neutre, tourner
l'induit de quelques tours, si possible dans le sens normal
de rotation. Cela amène le balai le plus près possible de
la position réelle de fonctionnement.

When switching on the field circuit, a flux is obtained
which induces a voltage between the brushes if they are
not in neutral position. The power source can be from the
convertor or from a battery with 12-24 V.
Remark
Note that the higher measuring range on the
voltmeter should be used for rough setting and the
lower for final adjustment.
The brush gear should be rotated until the induced
voltage is as close to 0 Volt as possible.
Caution
The voltmeter should be disconnected before the field
voltage is cut, otherwise the instrument can be
damaged.
Before using this method of adjustment, the brushes must
be embedded correctly, i. e. the contact surface of the
brush must have the same radius as the commutator. As
a final check of the neutral position, rotate the armature a
few turns, if possible in the direction of rotation. This
brings the brushes as close as possible to the actual
operating position.
